Music industry contributes £4.1bn to UK economy

The global recognition and success of British artists including Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran has led to the music industry contributing £4.

1bn to the UK economy in 2014, and has seen recorded music exports rise 17%. The stats come as part of UK Music's annual economic study, Measuring Music 2015, which reveals the true scale of the UK music's contribution to the UK economy.
